Heska Corporation acquires VetZ GmbH

This acquisition will allow the company to play a key role as the European leader in PIMS.

Heska Corporation, an international provider of advanced veterinary and specialty diagnostic products and solutions, has acquired VetZ GmbH (VetZ), a European innovator in veterinary information management software solutions (PIMS) including the headquarters are in Germany. Initially announced on November 2, 2021, this acquisition marks an important achievement in the company’s strategic plan.

Since its launch in 1997, VetZ has offered powerful, user-friendly and fully integrated veterinary software solutions to improve workflow, communication, service and patient outcomes.

According to a statement from the company, the acquisition was made as part of a purchase agreement in which Heska GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, obtained 100% of the share capital of VetZ. Heska management plans to comment further on the matter and provide more details in the company’s fourth quarter and full year 2021 financial results report.

Additionally, the company will also develop the acquisition during a conference call in February 2022 and as part of its upcoming Investor Day in the first half of 2022.
